PALM OIL WEEKLY PRICES ON   04th -  10th Jun 2008 2nd  Week
Prices in the domestic and export markets traded mixed.
Crude palm oil price traded higher, increased by RM23.50 to RM3,581.00,  with the highest  traded price at RM3,725.00.  RBD palm olein traded lower by US$28.50 to US$1,237.50. Price of CPO was traded higher due to: 
n BMD CPO futures aggressive short-covering activities and speculative buying supported cash market
n CBOT soyabean  oil futures rallied aggressively on crude oil prices to record high above US$139 per barrel.
n Adding bullish market were wet weather in the USA Midwest corn and soyabean growing region affecting crop growing conditions and unresolved Argentine farmers’ strike.
Crude palm oil export duty.
n For the current week 09/06/2008 – 15/06/2008, the CPO export duty payable is RM854.76/tonne.
Palm oil prices in Europe traded  easier.
n Crude palm oil price traded lower by US$10.00 to US$1,208.50. CPO discount vis-ŕ-vis SBO widened to US$296.00 this week.
n RBD palm olein traded lower by US$9.50 to US$1,289.00 and was at a discount of US$216.00 against SBO.
