Palm Oil Weekly Prices
 
 
PALM OIL WEEKLY PRICES ON  04th Jan  – 10th Jan  2006 2nd Week  
Prices in the domestic and export market traded higher.
Crude palm oil price traded higher by RM8.50 to RM1,417.50  with  the  highest traded price at RM1,427.50.  RBD palm olein traded higher by US$4.00 at US$391.50.  Prices were firmer due to:
Rise in local palm oil prices owing to strong CBOT soya market sentiments due to worries over heat and dryness in South America.
Higher BMD CPO futures price.
     
Crude palm oil export duty.
For the current week 09/01/2006 –15/01/2006, the CPO export duty payable is RM185.29/ tonne.
Palm oil prices in Europe traded lower.
Crude palm oil price traded higher by US$5.00 to US$433.00. CPO discount vis-à-vis SBO widened to US$110.00 this week.
 
RBD palm olein traded higher by US$1.50 to US$442.00, but still at a discount of US$100.50 against SBO.
