| Crude palm oil price traded higher by RM31.00 to RM1,950.00, with the highest traded price at RM1,995.00. RBD palm olein traded higher by US$17.00 to US$580.50. Prices were traded firmer due to: | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| n | Persistent fears of palm oil supply disruption after most major palm oil producing state disrupted by heavy rains. The floods have cut off main roads in the state of Johor, Pahang, Kelantan, Trengganu and the latest Sabah. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| n | Market concerns that palm oil production was expected to decline by 20 - 30% in December due to the rain and floods and stock expected to drop by 16% from previous month level. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| n | Palm oil prices was supported by strong buying in the BMD CPO futures market. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
