| Prices in the domestic and export markets traded slightly higher. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Crude palm oil price traded sharply higher by RM59.00 to RM1,713.00, with the highest traded price at RM1,860.00. RBD palm olein traded higher by US$21.00 to US$508.00. Prices were traded firmer due to: | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| n | Supported by sharply higher BMD CPO futures market, which hit a new 30 months high. CPO futures were traded by limit up of RM100.00 on Monday. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| n | Prices reacted to the prevailing soyabean oil market situation in China, P.R. and CBOT soyabean and corn futures. The later was attributed to the decline in corn stocks, which meant that corn plantings needed to be expanded at the expense of soyabean. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| n | Dalian soyabean oil futures gained by the 4% daily limit up on Monday, helped by tight vegetable oils supply in China, P.R which triggered panic buying. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
