| Prices in the domestic and export markets traded higher. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Crude palm oil price traded higher by RM57.00 to RM1,919.00, with the highest traded price at RM1,985.00. RBD palm olein traded higher by US$4.50 to US$563.50. Prices were traded firmer due to: | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| n | Persistent fears of supply disruption after torrential rains in palm oil producing areas of Southern Peninsula Malaysia. The floods have cut off main roads in the southern state of Johor, which is also a major palm oil producing region. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| n | Supported by BMD CPO futures market, up 5% to RM1995.00 their highest level since January 1999 boosted by fears that floods would further cut supplies. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| n | Palm oil prices was supported by strong buying in the physical market for prompt shipments. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
